Saudi Arabia to offer over 10 logistics investments to private sector – Minister

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has revealed plans to offer more than ten logistics platforms for private sector investors in the next period, Minister of Transport Nabeel Al-Amudi said.

The logistics platform includes various types of businesses operating in the same field, Al-Amudi told Al Eqtisadiah newspaper during the inauguration of Supply Chain and Logistics Conference in Riyadh.

The Saudi official further noted that investments in these platforms comprise operations in railway, roads, airports, and ports industries.

The Kingdom also launched a programme to enhance the logistic services sector during the coming period.

Al-Amudi indicated that Saudi logistic services sector is currently exceeding SAR 65 billion and it is forecast to reach about SAR 70 billion by 2020.
