TASI adds 99 pts, Nomu falls at Tuesday’s close
The telecommunication services sector added 3.76%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Tuesday with a positive performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 99.23 points, or 1.31%, to 7,666.8 points.

TASI’s traded volume reached 286 million shares, up from 225.84 million on Monday, while trading value jumped to SAR 7.54 billion ($2.01 billion), from SAR 6.27 billion ($1.67 billion), registering its highest liquidity since September 2017.

The telecommunication services sector added 3.76%, followed by the banking and materials sectors with 2.27% and 1.85%, respectively.

On the flipside, the media and pharmaceuticals sectors levelled down 4.5%, and 3%, respectively.

The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock was the best performer with 9.96%, followed by the Saudi Ceramic Company’s stock with 7.42%.

On the flipside, Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock fell 5.06%, and Eastern Province Cement Company’s stock went down 4.96%.

Al Rajhi Bank’s stock, which advanced 1.88%, topped the main market in terms of traded value after generating SAR 1.2 billion, while Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company’s stock, up 0.88%, generated the highest trading volume with 38.25 million shares.

In the meantime, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, retreated 59.64 points, or 2.51%, to finish the mid-week session at 2,313.55 points.

Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer with 4.84%, whereas Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock was the best performer with 3.95%.
