QSE adds 125pts at Wednesday’s close
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 2.24%

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s trading session in positive territory, supported by the massive growth of all sectors.

The general index rose 125.89 points, or 1.25%, to finish at 10,157.48 points.

The bourse’s liquidity increased to QAR 309.03 million on Wednesday from QAR 241.45 million on Tuesday, while the trading volume decreased to 7.90 million shares against 8.88 million in the previous session.

The industrial sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 2.24% as Industries Qatar hiked 2.9% reaching QAR 142, the highest since July 2015.

Similarly, the goods and services sector rose 2.19% due to Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) 2.98% growth, while the banking sector advanced 0.92% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) went up 1.23%.

By the end of the session, QNB’s stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 70.7 million, while Mazaya Qatar Real Estate’s stock, which plunged 2.49%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 1.2 million shares.
