Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session in green territory on the back of foreign and Arab buying.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.88%, closing the session at 13,643.02 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.19% to 693.35 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index added 0.21% to 1,744.9 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.66% to 2,122.92 points.

Trading volume amounted to around 196.5 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 797.9 million through 22,410 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 20.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 10.7 million and EGP 9.8 million, respectively.

Market capitalisation closed the session at EGP 765.7 billion and gained EGP 2.3 billion.
