ABK Egypt’s profit surges 75% in 9M
The lender’s portfolio of customer loans and facilities levelled up 35% to EGP 15 billion from January to September 2018

Cairo – Mubasher: Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Egypt (ABK) on Sunday reported a 75% year-on-year leap in its net operating profit during the first nine months of 2018, registering as much as EGP 1 billion.

Total assets jumped 34% to EGP 28 billion during the nine-month period ended September, while customer deposits grew 38% to EGP 24 billion, according to ABK’s statement.

The lender’s portfolio of customer loans and facilities levelled up 35% to EGP 15 billion from January to September 2018, compared to December 2017.

ABK Egypt previously announced net operating profits increased by 34% to EGP 251 million in the first six months of this year.

“The Bank serves a diverse range of corporate customers - including small, medium and large-size companies - through its corporate banking and SME solutions,” ABK Egpt’s CEO and managing director Khaled El Salawy said.

ABK-Egypt is providing retail services to clients, including mobile banking services, and the most updated ATM network, El Salawy added.
