QSE falls 115 pts at Wednesday’s close
The bourse’s liquidity rocketed to QAR 1.5 billion on Wednesday

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s trading session in negative territory, dragged down by a massive of all sectors.

The general index went down 115.54 points, or 1.12%, to finish at 10,199.08 points.

The bourse’s liquidity rocketed to QAR 1.5 billion on Wednesday from QAR 228.4million on Tuesday, while the trading volume went up to 8.5 million shares against 5.6 million in the previous session.

The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 6.47% due to Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) 10% drop, followed by the banking sector with 1.07% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) declined 1.51%.

Similarly, the industrial sector levelled down 0.61% as Qatari Investors Group went down 2%.

By the end of the session, Barwa Real Estate’s stock, which advanced 1.71%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 1.5 million shares, generating QAR 58.3 million in liquidity.
