Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Dana Gas, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), is seeking to establish two new gas pipelines in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the company’s head of investor relations said.

This comes following the completion of the first phase of expansion work that raised that company’s production to 400 million cubic feet of natural gas from 300 million cubic feet, Mohammed Mubaideen told Mubasher in a phone call.

The two new pipelines are expected to add nearly 250 million cubic feet of gas and 10,000 barrels of condensate to the company’s production, Mubaideen revealed.

He noted that the Sharjah-based company is planning to complete the construction work of the anticipated pipelines by 2022.

The gas company has started a drilling programme to explore and develop the Khor Mor and Chemchemal fields expected to have over 70 trillion cubic feet of gas and seven billion barrels of condensate, he indicated.

It is worth noting that the company has not begun production from Chemchemal field yet.

Earlier this morning, Dana Gas and its partner Crescent Petroleum have announced that their production capacity at the Khor Mor field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq rose by 30%, which the companies jointly operate on behalf of Pearl Petroleum.
