TASI sheds 34 pts, Nomu stable at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Thursday’s trading session in negative territory for the third session in a row, pressured by the fall of the banking and basic material sectors.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 34.65 points, or 0.44%, to close the last session of the week at 7,848.98 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 144.84 million shares, down from 118 million on Wednesday, while the bourse’s liquidity rose to SAR 3.27 billion from SAR 2.8 billion.

The food-retailing sector topped TASI’s decliners falling 1.6%, followed by the banking and basic materials sectors with 0.48% and 0.47%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the media sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 1.07%, followed by the telecommunication sector with 0.5%.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, remained unchanged at 2,415.94 points.
