Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended the week in gains, as the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose by around 146 points or 1.9% to close Thursday at 7,848.98 points.

Market capitalization rose by SAR 40.08 billion to SAR 1.86 trillion, with turnovers totalling SAR 17.88 billion, increasing by 15.76% compared to its level by the end of last week.

Traded volumes also grew 17.8% to 718.5 million shares, up from 609.9 million shares by the end of the week before.

Seventeen market sector indices recorded gains, led by insurance with a 5.39% increase, followed by food retail with 4.05%.

On the other hand, three sectors ended the week in losses with transportation and pharmaceuticals losing 1.08%, and 0.17%, respectively.

The three major sectors all recorded gains, with telecom, materials, and banks adding 2.7%, 2.6%, and 1.57%, respectively.
