Egyptian exports grow to $22.6bn in 11M – Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s exports increased to $22.6 billion in the first eleven months, compared to $20.4 billion during the corresponding months a year before, the Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar said.

The Ministry expected that the country’s exports will jump 10.6% to $25 billion by the end of this year, from $22.4 billion during 2017, Nassar added.

Nassar further noted that there are some sectors which their exports rose in 2018, including: chemical industries, fertilisers, ready-made garments-clothing sector, engineering industries, electronics, medical industries, textiles, food industries, and books.

The largest destinations who imported from Egypt during the current year comprise the UAE, Turkey, the US, Italy, Saudi Arabia, the UK, Spain, Algeria, and France.
