Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Union National Bank – Egypt (UNBE) have revealed that its profits plunged 29% year-on-year during 2018, to EGP 270.11 million, from EGP 380.01 million in 2017.

UNBE’s revenues rose to EGP 3.69 billion from January to December last year, from EGP 2.74 billion in the corresponding months of 2017, according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

The bank's expenses from interest amounted to EGP 2.73 billion by the end of December 2018, up from EGP 1.87 billion in the same period in 2017.

UNBE’s total value of deposits reached EGP 27.48 billion during the full year of 2018, compared to EGP 24.54 billion in 2017.

Loans which were provided by UNBE hit EGP 13.63 billion from January to December 2018, compared to EGP 10.17 billion in the same month of 2017.
