Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian pound showed a mixed performance on Monday against foreign currencies at national and private banks.

Bank of Alexandria offered the highest US dollar rate at EGP 17.76 for buying and EGP 17.86 for selling, whereas Arab Bank recorded the lowest rate at EGP 17.6 for buying and EGP 17.7 for selling.

Meanwhile, the average rate of the euro across Egyptian banks ranged between EGP 19.94 and EGP 20.12 for purchasing and between EGP 20.25 and EGP 20.63 for selling.

Moreover, Arab Bank registered the highest rate for buying and selling the British pound sterling at EGP 23.32 and EGP 23.53, respectively, while Egyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank) recorded the lowest rate at EGP 23.21 for buying and EGP 23.42 for selling.

By 9:02 am GMT, the USD dollar has been stable against most of the main global currencies.
