Cairo – Mubasher: Orascom Construction Plc’s stock has hit its lowest level since May 2017 after delisting on the Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) benchmark EGX30 index.
Almost eight stocks have exited from the EGX30 index, while others have been included in the index such as Sarwa Capital Holding for Financial Investments and Cairo Investment and Real Estate Development, according to the EGX’s periodic review.
By 12:00 am Cairo time, Orascom’s stock lost 1.14% to EGP 106 after 63,300 shares were traded at a turnover of EGP 6.7 million.
Meanwhile, the EGX30 index added 0.34% to 14,141.97 points, gaining 48.57 points.
On 22 January, Orascom Construction, the international engineering and construction contractor, announced it started trading on both Nasdaq Dubai and the EGX with its new name.
