ENOC, BHGE partner to develop lubricant monitoring system
VitalyX can be deployed in multiple industries using large machinery

Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) on Sunday said it has signed an agreement with Baker Hughes (BHGE), a subsidiary of US industrial conglomerate General Electric (GE), to develop VitalyX system, a real-time lubricant monitoring system.

VitalyX can be deployed in multiple industries using large machinery, the UAE state-run oil and gas player said in a statement.

The system is designed to detect and measure key lubricant properties in real-time while simultaneously converting the data into actionable insights.

Real-time monitoring of lubricants also helps safeguard end users’ and operators’ equipment by offering a new level of predictive maintenance.

ENOC noted that catastrophic failures due to fluid issues may occur if the system is not monitored.

“Our co-development of VitalyX with ENOC will pioneer innovative solutions in lubricant monitoring that delivers productivity gains and cost savings that can be scaled across their fleet globally,” Ed J. Boufarah, vice president of BHGE’s, commented.
