Abu Dhabi – Mubasher:  Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) on Wednesday reported a 2% year-on-year rise in net profits and for the full-year 2018.

Net profits amounted to AED 8.61 billion in 2018, compared to AED 8.41 billion in 2017, according to a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

The telecom company’s revenues recorded AED 52.38 billion last year, against AED 51.63 billion in 2017.

The increase in revenues is mainly attributed to the rise in revenues of the international operations and strong performance of fixed and other segments in the UAE operations.

As for the fourth quarter of 2018, Etisalat’s net profits stood at AED 2.02 billion.

By the end of Wednesday’s session, Etisalat’s stock stood at AED 17.02.
