Mubasher: Kuwait Reinsurance achieved an increase of 43.4% in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to the same period a year ago.

Earnings totalled KWD 400,000 ($1.32 million) in Q4-18, up from KWD 279,000 ($920,600) in Q4-17, according to a bourse statement on Thursday.

During fiscal year 2018, Kuwait Reinsurance recorded a growth of 10.1% in profits to KWD 3.37 million from KWD 3.06 million in the prior year.

The board members recommended 5% of capital as a cash dividend or 5 fils per share at a total of KWD 891,000.

The board also proposed distributing 6% of capital as bonus shares or 6-for-100 shares.
