Mubasher: Preliminary reading indicated that gross domestic product (GDP) in both the Eurozone and the 28-member European Union (EU28) rose 0.2% in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Growth rate in the third quarter rose 0.2% in the Eurozone and 0.3% in the EU28, flash estimates published on Thursday by the Eurozone’s statistical office, the Eurostat, showed.

On an annual basis, GDP grew 1.2% in the Eurozone in Q4-18, and 1.4% in the EU28, after growing by 1.6% and 1.8% respectively in Q3-18, the data revealed.
