Mubasher: US business inventories declined 0.1% in November 2018 to $1.981 trillion on a seasonally adjusted basis, the US Commerce Department’s Census Bureau said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, analysts polled by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) projected a 0.2% gain for November.
Year-on-year, business inventories saw climbed 4.6% in November.
Factory inventories dipped 0.1% month-on-month in November, whereas wholesale inventories went up 0.3%.
The ratio of overall inventories to sales ratio in November was 1.35, unchanged from the same month of the prior year.
By 3:03 pm GMT, the US dollar index, a gauge of the greenback against a basket of six major peers, inched down 0.01% to 97.1150.
