Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Arkan Building Materials on Thursday posted a 74% year-on-year net profit hike in the full year 2018.

The company’s profits reached AED 52.4 million ($14.27 million) last year, compared to AED 30.2 million ($8.22 million) in 2017, according to a bourse statement.

Revenue increased to AED 909 million in 2018 versus AED 908.6 million the year before.

Arkan previously reported suffering losses of AED 5 million in the third quarter of 2018, while its nine-month results showed a sharp profit fall.
