Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has posted a 2.4% year-on-year increase in profits for the full-year 2018.
Net profits rose AED 1.75 billion ($480 million) in 2018, compared to AED 1.71 billion ($470 million) in 2017, according to a filing to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.39 for the year ended 31 December 2018 versus AED 0.38 in the previous year.
Moreover, revenues grew by 3.2% year-on-year to AED 13.41 billion over 2018 due to the fixed segment and other segments, du said, noting that its EBITDA increased by 5.6% to AED 5.49 billion on the back of increased operational efficiency.
The telecom company noted that its profits before royalties grew by 2.2% year-on-year to AED 3.83 billion in 2018.
It is worth noting that du’s previously reported a net profit of AED 1.41 billion during the nine-month period ended 30 September 2018.
