Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index jumped 69.04 points, or 0.69%, to close at 10,010 points on Sunday.
The industrials sector led risers with 2.22%, followed by the insurance, services and banking sectors with 1.01%, 0.67% and 0.15%, respectively.
On the other hand, the real estate sector headed fallers after sliding 2.85%, while the transportation and telecommunications sectors retreated 0.38% and 0.19%, respectively.
Salam International Investment Limited led decliners and shed 6.24%, whereas Qatari Investors Group topped gainers with 10%.
The QSE’s liquidity shrank 19% to QAR 232.2 million on Sunday, from QAR 286.86 million in the previous session, while trading volume went up 7.6% to 9.46 million shares, against 8.8 million on Thursday.
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, up 7.13%, led the QSE in terms of volume and value after 2.89 million shares were traded at a turnover of QAR 47.24 million, supported by the stock’s inclusion in the FTSE Russell’s index.
