EGX ends Monday in green
EGX30 index edged up 0.19%, finishing the session at 15,198.89 points

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local and Arab buying.

The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.19%, finishing the session at 15,198.89 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.06% to 721.01 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index added 0.06% to 1,821.43 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.14% to 2,452 points.

Trading volume amounted to around 331.19 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.3 billion through 31,500 transactions.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 106.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 41.215 million and EGP 65.18 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.35% to EGP 74.5, with a turnover of EGP 63.86 million.

Market capitalisation closed the session at EGP 838.01 billion and gained EGP 211 billion.
