Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE armed forces has signed AED 514.8 million ($140.17 million) defence contracts on Tuesday at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2019).
The deals were closed with international companies, the UAE army’s spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammed al-Hassani said.
Another AED 4.3 billion contracts inked with Emirati firms, Reuters reported.
The UAE armed forces signed 33 contracts worth AED 4.97 billion ($1.35 billion) on the first day of the IDEX military exhibition.
IDEX is the only international defence exhibition and conference in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region displaying the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence.
