Riyadh – Mubasher: India is a key destination for Aramco’s investments, the CEO of the Saudi state-run oil giant said.

India, the country with the fastest-growing appetite for energy, is currently demanding around 800,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Saudi oil, Amin Nasser told Reuters, noting that it is expected that the south Asian nation’s demand of Saudi oil will rise to 8.2 million bpd by 2040.

The Saudi official’s statement came on the sidelines of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman one-day visit to India.

“India [is] looking for stronger ties with Saudi,” India Oil Corp Ltd’s chairman Sanjiv Singh said.
