The country’s crude exports increased by 4.9% or about 99,000 bpd in December last year when compared to 2.021 million bpd in December 2017, JODI said.

On a monthly basis, Kuwait exports of crude oil rose by 2.4% or 50,000 bpd in December 2018 when compared to 2.07 million bpd in November.

It is noteworthy that the Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) is a concrete outcome of the producer-consumer dialogue and aims to improve gas and oil data transparency.

In 2018, Kuwait has exported an average of 2.052 million bpd, up from 2.008 million bpd as an average during 2017, according to JODI’s data.

Kuwait has the sixth largest crude inventories in the world, with up to 101.5 billion barrels, according to previous reports.
