Mubasher: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) announced the appointment of four advisors for the merger deal with Ahli United Bank (AUB Bahrain), according to a bourse statement on Thursday. 

The board members of KFH nodded to the appointment of Goldman Sachs as the main advisor, while PricewaterhouseCoopers was appointed as the financial and tax advisor. 

KFH added that the UK-based Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer was named as the legal advisor for the merger with AUB Bahrain, while the Kuwaiti AlShall Economic Consultants was appointed as a local advisor. 

The Kuwaiti bank noted that final approvals regarding this merger process are subject to the approval of the two banks’ shareholders, the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), and other related regulatory authorities.
