Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) on Thursday revealed plans to establish the first movie theatre in the Saudi city of Khobar.
The new cinema, set to be opened in the second quarter of 2020, will be built in collaboration with AlOula Real Estate Development, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) cited SEVEN’s statement.
AlOula Real Estate Development stated that the cinema will provide recreational facilities, including cafes and international restaurants.
SEVEN, a 100% subsidiary of the state-owned Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), is the first firm which obtained a licence for operating cinemas in the kingdom.
The Saudi sovereign investor PIF launched SEVEN in Q4-17.
