Egypt suspends Boeing 737 Max’s flights
The Ethiopian accident’s casualties included six Egyptians

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s civil aviation ministry on Wednesday announced the suspension of Boeing B737 MAX model aeroplanes from landing and taking off at Egyptian airports over the Ethiopia Airlines plane crash that killed 157 people.

The ministry said that its decision stemmed from its care for the safety of passengers, according to Egypt Independent.

The Ethiopian accident’s casualties included six Egyptians.

Many counties halted Boeing 737 MAX flight including the UK, China, Indonesia, and Ethiopia. GCC countries such as Oman announced a similar move on Tuesday, while Kuwait suspended the Boeing jets on Wednesday.

Earlier on Wednesday, media reported that 33 countries and 30 airlines grounded the Boeing 737 Max-8 planes.

This is the second disaster of the airplane model in less than six months as the same model operated by Indonesia’s Lion Air crashed into the sea, killing all 189 passengers on board, in October 2018.
