Makkah becomes home to 2nd largest planned projects in Saudi Arabia
The pipeline of major projects in Makkah includes the SAR 37.5 trillion Al-Faisaliah City

Riyadh – Mubasher: Makkah region has Saudi Arabia’s second largest planned construction projects amounting to SAR 1 trillion ($283 billion).

The SAR 37.5 billion Al-Faisaliah City, designed to expand the capacity of Makkah, is one of the under-construction megaprojects in the holy city, Construction Week Online reported on Thursday.

The pipeline of major projects in Makkah also includes the SAR 32.6 billion Jabal Al Sharashif Development and Phase 1 of Makkah Metro, which has expected cost of SAR 2.2 billion.

The three megaprojects have been put out to tender, DMG Events said in a statement.

Tabuk Province has the kingdom’s most valuable planned projects including the SAR 1.9 trillion Neom megaproject and the Red Sea Project.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud approved 151 projects worth more than SAR 11.2 billion for Tabuk at the end of 2018.
