Mubasher: Google is set to announce its plan to enter the gaming world, a move that would revolutionise the $140 billion industry dominated by Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo.
The US tech titan would announce its vision for the future of gaming during a keynote at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) on Tuesday in San Francisco.

Having been working on a game streaming platform from a while, Google is likely to unveil its commercial version of its “Project Stream” service, and its rumoured “Yeti” gaming console, both would see the dream of a “Netflix for video games” streaming service coming true.
With that, playing a hit game would not require purchasing a console like the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or a high-end gaming personal computer and hitting the store to have a game disc.
Instead, the streaming service could allow users to stream top games to their own devices, like a laptop, smartphone or streaming box connected to a TV.
Google, best known for its search engine and Android operating system, seeks to diversify its revenue sources beyond digital ads, seizing a big opportunity promised by the world of gaming.
