Mubasher: The 19th edition of Airport Show on Sunday has said that it will host the first event of Smart Airports Conference from 29 April until 1 May 2019 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).

During its opening session, the conference will show the most-influential innovations which are forming the design, features, and day-to-day operations of the modern airports, according to a statement.

Day one of the event, will discuss various topics as sustainability in smart airports, Block Chain, Six Sigma implementation, smart airport ownership models, and future technologies.

Day two will focus on Air traffic control (ATC), cover air traffic management and remotely operated systems, while day three will discuss airports security and how artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven tech will shape the future of airport security.

“The region already boasts the most innovative airports in the world and having the latest smart technology in place is fundamental in ensuring that these hubs remain at the cutting-edge of the business,” Daniyal Qureshi, Group Exhibition Director, Reed Exhibitions Middle East, organisers of Airport Show stated.

The Middle East’s smart airport market is forecast to hit $850 million by 2020, according to a report, while at the international level it is expected to increase to $25.9 billion globally by 2025.
