Mubasher: Bahrain Telecommunication Company’s (Batelco) shareholders have approved to distribute a cash dividend of 27.5 fils per share for the full fiscal year 2018, according to a statement to the Bahrain Bourse (BHB).
Batelco last reported a 1,335% leap in net profits attributed to shareholders, logging BHD 50.1 million from January to December 2018, compared to BHD 3.5 million in 2017.
In March, the Bahraini telecoms provider inked a contract with the New York-listed Interxion Holding to expand Batelco’s presence in strategically important hub locations.
Batelco’s capital amounts to BHD 166.320 million distributed on 1.663 million shares, with a par value of BHD 0.10 per share.
