Saudi foreign trade edges up in January
The kingdom’s trade balance surplus hit SAR 42.63 billion in January

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s foreign trade grew 0.3% year-on-year, or SAR 359 million, in January.

The kingdom’s trade exchange amounted to SAR 126.47 billion in the first month of 2019, compared to SAR 126.11 billion in January 2018, according to data released by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

Saudi Arabia’s trade balance surplus registered SAR 42.63 billion in January.

The oil-rich GCC nation’s exports grew 0.1% to SAR 84.55 billion in January, compared to SAR 84.5 billion in the same month a year earlier, data showed.

On the other hand, Saudi imports rose 0.7% to SAR 41.92 billion year-on-year from SAR 41.61 billion in January 2018.
