QSE falls at Monday's close amid heavy liquidity
The real estate sector was the top decliner with 0.95%

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index declined 14.24 points, or 0.14%, to close at 10,221.52 points on Monday.

The QSE’s liquidity increased to QAR 268.35 million on Monday, compared to QAR 245.28 million in the previous session, while trading volume fell to 14.76 million shares from 16.62 million on Sunday.

The real estate sector was the top decliner with 0.95% after Ezdan Holding slumped 1.50%.

On the other hand, the insurance sector rose 1.78% led by Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance which grew 9.97% to QAR 18.09, its highest level since June 2017.

Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which inched down 0.39%, registered the highest trading volume of 2.10 million shares, while the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which slided 0.50%, spearheaded the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 60.43 million.
