TASI hovers over 9,100 pts; Nomu near stable at Tuesday’s close
The pharmaceuticals sector topped gainers after adding 2.9%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended Tuesday’s trading session on positive note after rising 51.42 points, or 0.57%, to close at 9,139.55 points, hitting its highest level since 25 November 2014, when it reached 9,234.03 points.

TASI’s liquidity grew to SAR 3.46 billion on Tuesday, compared to SAR 3.1 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume increased to 133.34 million shares from 123.84 million on Monday.

The pharmaceuticals sector topped gainers after adding 2.9%, followed by the healthcare sector with 1.3%.

Meanwhile, the heavyweight banking sector advanced 0.9%, while the telecommunications and basic materials sectors went up 0.4% and 0.05%, respectively.

On the other hand, the media sector led decliners and slid 2.4%, whereas the investment and financing services sector slumped 0.6%.

The stock of Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services was the top riser after advancing 4.9%, while CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance’s stock headed fallers and dropped 3.6%.

Al Rajhi Bank’s stock spearheaded TASI in terms of turnover with SAR 359.15 million, while Alinma Bank’s registered the highest trading volume of 13.8 million shares.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, inched down 3.08 points, or 0.08%, to finish the mid-week session at 3,682.59 points.

Development Works Food’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer after sliding 6.7%, while the stock of Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abo Moati for Bookstores was Nomu’s best performer with 3.7%.
