Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed the week ended on 18 April on mixed note.

The All-Share Market index jumped 63.6 points, or 1.11%, to 5,805.99 points, followed by the Premier Market index with 1.94%, reaching 6,244.76 points, while the Main Market index levelled down 51 points, or 1.02%, to 4,962.2 points.

Traded volume fell 4.5%, reaching 1.02 billion shares this week, compared to 1.06 billion a week before, while liquidity slid 6.5% to KWD 187.89 million, from KWD 200.93 million.

The number of transactions rose 1% to 38,520 over the course of the week, compared to 38,210 in the week earlier.

Market cap

On a weekly basis, Boursa Kuwait’s market capitalisation increased by 1.5%, or KWD 490 million, to KWD 33.39 million, from KWD 32.9 million in the week before.

Since the end of 2018 until this week, the bourse’s market capitalisation surged 15.1% to KWD 4.38 billion.
