Mubasher: Kuwait Telecommunication Co (Viva) has acquired the whole shares of Qualitynet at a value of KWD 28.3 million ($93.3 million).

The acquisition is a major opportunity for Viva and Qualitynet to expand their business and exchange experience, Viva’s chairman said.

This deal will also enable the two firms to offer state-of-the-art services, products, and solutions for the customers, Mahmoud Abdul Rahman added.

The acquisition of Qualitynet reflects the firm’s efforts to improve services for its customers, Viva CEO Maziad Al Harbi stated.

In April, Viva signed a contract with Batelco Middle East, Bahrain Telecommunication Company (Batelco), and the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) to purchase Qualitynet.

Established in 1998, Qualitynet provides data and internet solutions in Kuwait.
