Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian pound’s exchange rate against the USD increased by 5.83%, or EGP 1.042, year-to-date at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The USD declined against the EGP at 15 banks on Thursday.  

The USD went down by 5 piastres at Banque du Caire and Banque Misr, reaching EGP 16.85 for buying and EGP 16.95 for selling.

The American currency lost 7 piastres at the Commercial International Bank (CIB), recording EGP 16.81 for buying and EGP 16.91 for selling.

Furthermore, the USD retreated 8 piastres at the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), registering EGP 16.92 for buying and EGP 17 for selling.
