UAE – Mubasher: The UAE Banks Federation (UBF) has appointed Khamis Buharoon, vice chairman of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and board member of the UAE Banks Federation, as a representative of the UAE banks at the Union of Arab Banks (UAB).
Buharoon boasts of 30-year expertise in which he held a host of major positions in the banking and financial sectors in the MENA region, according to a press release on Sunday.
It is worth noting that he is the chairman of ADIB Securities and Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co.
Founded in 1973, the UAB is responsible for tackling the Arab banks’ issues and reinforcing cooperation among them.
