Cairo – Mubasher: Cleopatra Hospital Co reported a 3.6% year-on-year drop in its consolidated profits during the first quarter of 2019.

Net profits amounted to EGP 55.139 million in the January-March period of 2019, compared to EGP 57.195 million in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.

Year-on-year, the company’s revenues rose to EGP 415.97 million in the three-month period ended 31 March from EGP 347.15 million.

Meanwhile, costs of activities increased to EGP 261.8 million in Q1-19, compared to EGP 229.81 million in Q1-18.

As for standalone business, Cleopatra Hospital Co logged a net profit of EGP 45.05 million in the three-month period ended 31 March from EGP 41.11 million in the same period a year earlier.

For the full-year 2018, the company’s net profits surged to EGP 315.19 million, compared to EGP 118.23 million in the previous year.

Revenues grew to EGP 1.45 billion last year from EGP 1.12 billion in 2017.

As for standalone business, the company’s net profits registered EGP 204.25 million in 2018, compared to EGP 82.54 million a year earlier.
