TASI hits 17-session rise at Monday’s close
The telecommunication sector topped the gainers and added 5.35%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) ended Monday’s trading session with a positive performance, hitting the highest level in 17 sessions, supported by the growth of most sectors.

TASI rose by 149.99 points, or 1.72%, to finish the session at 8,849.21 points.

TASI’s turnover jumped to SAR 5.07 billion on Monday, compared to SAR 2.49 billion on Sunday, while the market’s traded volume increased to 169.99 million shares from 99.68 million the session before.

The telecommunication sector topped the gainers and added 5.35%, followed by the utilities, and Software and Services sectors with 3.8% and 3.6%, respectively.

On the negative side, the media sector headed the losers after falling 2.38%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, went up 5.81 points, or 0.17%, to finish the session at 3,438.76 points.

Development Works Food Company’s stock was Nomu’s worst performer with 6%, while Al Kathiri Holding Company’s stock was Nomu’s best performer after rising by 7.1%.
