Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s electricity minister, Mohamed Shaker, announced that the first phase of the electricity interconnection project with Sudan will be completed in the near future.
Egypt also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to consider establishing an electricity linkage project with Cyprus and Greece, Shaker revealed in a statement.
It is noteworthy that the North African nation entered into agreement with Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) to develop the energy strategy and connect the country's grid with neighbouring countries, he noted.
