Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.22% to finish the session at 14,241 points.

On the other hand, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index retreated 0.1% to close at 606.03 points, while the broader EGX100 index went down 0.04% to 1,549.15 points.

Meanwhile, the equal-weighted EGX50 index grew to 2,121.75 points.

Market capitalisation lost about EGP 180 million to close at EGP 760.38 billion on Monday, compared to EGP 760.56 billion on Sunday.

Trading volume reached around 111.09 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.23 billion through nearly 18,230 transactions.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 229.38 million and EGP 2.85 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 232.24 million.
