Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of transport, Kamel El-Wazir, has discussed with a delegation from Canada’s Bombardier the procurement of 100 locomotives and rehabilitation of 50 Henschel locomotives and 40 Adtranz locomotives.

The procurement and rehabilitation will be conducted under the supervision of engineers and exports from Bombardier, the transport ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

It is noteworthy that Bombardier, as part of a consortium including Egypt’s Arab Contractors and Orascom Construction, holds talks with the Egyptian government to sign an agreement for establishing the 6th of October - new capital monorail project before the end of June.
