UAE – Mubasher: Expo 2020 Dubai announced it has named Jacobs Mace, a joint venture (JV) between Jacobs Engineering and consultancy and construction firm Mace, as its ‘Official Programme Delivery Management Provider’.

This came as Expo 2020 aims to complete all its construction work on schedule, according to a statement.

In January 2015, Expo 2020 had appointed Jacobs Mace as a project management consultant to manage logistics and infrastructure of the Thematic Districts, public realm, and Al Wasl Plaza centrepiece.

“It also monitors the planned construction of around 100 self-build pavilions for international participants and partners, a key part of bringing the whole world together in Dubai,” Expo 2020 said.

The joint venture has more than 200 consultants working at Expo 2020.

Jacobs Mace will also maintain working on transforming the 4.38-square-kilometre site as part of the Expo team.

The six-month Expo 2020 will be hosted by Dubai from 20 October 2020 through 10 April 2021. The World Expo is a universal exposition organised every five years.
