Egypt-Japan bilateral trade hits $401m in Q1
Key Egyptian exports to Japan included liquefied natural gas

Cairo – Mubasher: The trade exchange between Japan and Egypt grew to $401 million in the first quarter of 2019, compared to $376 million the year before.

Egypt’s exports to Japan went up to $93 million in Q1-19 versus $64 million in the year-ago period, according to the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS).

Key Egyptian exports to Japan included liquefied natural gas (LNG), cotton, dried vegetables, food, and ceramic.

Meanwhile, the North African country’s main imports from Japan comprised cars, tractors, equipment, electrical appliances, and iron and steel products.
