Dubai – Mubasher: Jubail Island Investment Company (JIIC) has awarded National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) AED 50 million contract for the marine works of the AED 5 billion Jubail Island project.

The scope of marine works includes over seven kilometres of widening and enhancing waterways designed to improve overall waterfront living experience and restore water circulation, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM)

Featuring six villages, including Marfa Al Jubail, Nad Al Dhabi, Seef Al Jubail, Ain Al Maha, Souk Al Jubail, and Bed’a Al Jubail, Jubail Island is slated for completion in January 2020.

NMDC reported a 23% year-on-year profit increase during the first quarter of 2019, recording AED 17.5 million.
