Riyadh – Mubasher: Southern Province Cement Company’s (SPCC) profits jumped 152.78% year-on-year during the second quarter of 2019, recording SAR 91 million.

The company ascribed its profit to the increase in sales revenue and the decline in financial expenses, according to a bourse statement released on Tuesday.

Quarter-on-quarter, Southern Cement’s declined by 24.16% from the first quarter of 2019.

The Tadawul-listed company reported SAR 211 million net profit during the first six months of the year, up 53% from the year-ago period.

Southern Cement reported a 17.6% year-on-year profit increase in the first quarter of 2019, registering SAR 120 million.
