Mubasher: Jiyad Holding Co reported an increase of 131.9% year-on-year (YoY) in profits during the second quarter of the current year.

The profits jumped to nearly KWD 420,030 ($1.39 million) in the second quarter of 2019, compared to about KWD 181,100 ($597,180) in Q2-18, according to a bourse disclosure on Thursday.

During the first half of 2019, Jiyad’s profits decreased by 33% to nearly KWD 604,030 from approximately KWD 902,100 in the same period a year ago.

Noteworthy, during the first quarter of 2019, Jiyad’s profits totalled nearly KWD 184,000 when compared to approximately KWD 721,000 during Q1-18, representing a retreat of 74.5% YoY.
