Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt plans to issue international bonds with a value ranging between $3-7 billion during fiscal year 2019/2020, the country’s finance minister Mohamed Maait said.
The most populous Arab nation is also interested in issuing Yuan-denominated bonds; however, such issuance necessitates further requirements, Maait told reporters on the sidelines of Euromoney conference on Monday.
Egypt aims to issue bonds denominated in different currencies in a bid to hedge its international bond portfolio against any investments risks, he noted.
